Terms of Service
Last updated: June 2, 2026
These Terms govern your use of the Scriptlyth website and any Python script customization services we provide. By engaging us, you accept these Terms.
1. Services
Scriptlyth provides custom Python engineering: scrapers, automations, APIs, bots, AI pipelines and related deliverables ("Services"). Scope is agreed in a written brief before work begins.
2. Quotes & engagement
- Quotes are fixed-price and valid for 14 days unless stated otherwise.
- Work begins after written approval and receipt of the agreed deposit (typically 50%).
- Changes to scope are handled via a written change order with updated price and ETA.
3. Delivery
Deliverables include source code, documentation, a Docker image (where applicable) and a runbook. Estimated timelines are commitments we work hard to meet; force majeure and client-side blockers may shift them.
4. Intellectual property
- Upon final payment, ownership of all custom code written for your project transfers to you.
- We retain ownership of internal libraries, boilerplate and patterns developed prior to or independent of your project, licensed to you on a perpetual, non-exclusive basis.
- We may reference the project in our portfolio in a non-confidential way unless you opt out in writing.
5. Client responsibilities
- Provide accurate requirements, sample data and timely feedback.
- Provide lawful access to any third-party systems involved.
- Pay invoices within the agreed terms (default: NET 7).
6. Acceptable use
We do not build scripts intended for illegal activity, harassment, fraud, malware, unauthorized access, or anything violating third-party terms in a way that materially harms others. We may decline or terminate a project for these reasons.
7. Warranties
We warrant that deliverables will materially conform to the agreed brief for 30 days after delivery (90 days for Engineered tier). Bug fixes for in-scope defects within the warranty window are free.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scriptlyth's total liability for any claim arising out of the Services is limited to the fees paid for the specific project giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
9. Termination
Either party may terminate for material breach with 7 days' written notice and a chance to cure. On termination, you pay for work completed; we hand over current source and assets.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable at Scriptlyth's place of business. Disputes will be resolved through good-faith negotiation and, failing that, in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
